Location
It is the proximity of the site to the heart of the town , the Market Place, that will allow real connectivity between the two areas. For instance the site is approximately the same distance from the museum/tourist centre as the junction of Wheelgate and Yorkersgate.
Local Community
Part of the character of Malton Town Centre is attributable to the presence of so many independent retailers. Any supermarket should complement these occupiers and work to deliver shoppers into the town.
